Through-hole technology (THT)

Through-hole mounting, also known as THT (Through-Hole Technology), is a method in which electronic components are inserted into plated through-holes in printed circuit boards and soldered on the reverse side using a wave soldering process. This method ensures high mechanical strength and reliable electrical connections.

The production capabilities of DTVS allow THT assembly of PCBs of any complexity and application. The main production facility includes four high-performance lines designed for standard PCBs up to 450 × 450 mm in size. Each line is equipped with manual component insertion stations, Delta 3 & 5 wave soldering machines, and standard conveyors for post-assembly PCB processing.

The total throughput of the THT assembly lines is 85,000 components per hour.

Through-hole technology (THT)

DTVS operates two dedicated specialized lines for large-format and server PCBs. These lines support boards with a width of up to 500 mm.

  • Component assembly: Two OB-L01B insertion lines for installing through-hole components on PCBs.
  • Soldering: Two JT NXS610 tunnel-type wave soldering systems, providing high-quality soldering of large-format PCBs in a shared tunnel using a nitrogen atmosphere.
  • Post-processing: Two OB-L01 post-soldering lines for transport, rework, and cleaning of wide PCBs.

To support a full-cycle PCB processing workflow, DTVS uses specialized technologies and equipment:

  • PressFit connector insertion: The YT-1025 press machine installs connectors onto PCBs using solderless PressFit technology with high repeatability, ensuring extremely reliable connections.
  • Robotic through-hole component soldering system: Performs high-precision, repeatable soldering processes, accelerating assembly, reducing the risk of defects, and ensuring consistent build quality.
  • Automated PCB depaneling: The EM-5700-DX-V routing depaneling system with a dual table quickly separates panelized PCBs using a milling method, ensuring clean board edges without mechanical deformation.
  • Protective coating application: The OB-SGC331 semi-automatic system is used for precise application of protective conformal coatings on PCBs.
Continuous monitoring of the chemical composition and quality of solder in solder baths is performed using the JB8600 handheld alloy analyzer.
